Senior Lecturer in Nursing

We are seeking candidates for the role of Senior Lecturer in Nursing and Deputy Head of Practice Learning to contribute primarily to the provision of our pre-registration nurse education programmes and support the Principal Lecturer for Practice Learning. You will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a registered nurse (any field of practice) with an academic profile of supporting learning in practice. You will be expected to deliver innovative, high-quality teaching across a range of modules, provide support and leadership to staff and students in the practice learning environments. 

One of three faculties in the University, the Faculty of Education, Health, and Well-being has over 500 staff members and 11,000 students. The faculty comprises a wide and diverse range of subject areas, research, and knowledge exchange activities, organised through four Schools: the School of Nursing, School of Allied Health and Midwifery, School of Health and Society, and the School of Education. 

The School of Nursing is a progressive and an influential sector leader with a strong belief in research-led and transformative education demonstrated through inclusive student success. At the heart of our vision is a commitment to delivering high quality education, skills, and research in partnership with the communities we serve. The school has over 160 staff and includes a wide range of professionally qualifying healthcare courses. We deliver courses in nursing, nursing associate, public health, and continuing professional development. We are expanding our provision to offer hands-on teaching of nursing and healthcare professional skills through a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art skills facilities, including immersive simulation and advanced clinical labs.
