The Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS) of Lingnan University is inviting applications for the position of Senior Lecturer to deliver health and social services courses, and manage research and community projects.

General Requirements

Applicants should have (i) a doctoral degree, preferably in Social Work, Social Policies, Sociology, Health Studies, Nursing, Public Administration and Psychology; (ii) teaching experience in higher education institutions; (iii) experience in designing teaching programs and courses for higher education; (iv) experiences in writing community grant and research proposals; (v) ability to deliver courses such as social and community services, social care ethics, social services for special groups, program evaluation or social enterprises; (vi) experiences in writing research reports and publishing journal articles; and (vii) good organizational and interpersonal skills.

Appointment

The conditions of appointments will be competitive. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee. Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to two years.
