About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Digital Officer, to join a talented team of digital marketers, and have a focus on copywriting and project management.
The successful candidate will have a real eye for detail, and be comfortable with a varied workload: one day, you may be interviewing an academic about a new research project and turning this into a story for our news pages, the next you may be supporting our Videographers on a shoot or supporting with scripts. It’s a role for someone who is organised, communicative and happy to be adaptable.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will need to be proactive, organised and willing to adapt to new challenges. They’ll be able to build rapport with colleagues and students, and manage their own varied workload with support of the wider marketing team. It's a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for people who are able to plan effectively, but are also able to adapt in response to the needs of our student recruitment cycle.

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Copywriting for multiple platforms, such as news features, website content and email marketing
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good general digital skills, such as experience of updating website content (ideally in Drupal) and reporting on successes
  • Managing creative projects; such as working with our Videographers to support scripts and location shoots for short video, or working with third parties on sponsored content deadlines

For further details on the skills/experience required for this role, please see the full job description above.

This is a full-time role with optional hybrid working. As a team, we currently work a minimum of 2 days per week from our Penryn and Falmouth campuses, or candidates are welcome to work 5 days from campus if preferred.

Please note we are not accepting fully remote applications for this position: it’s an important role that will need regular time on campus attending events, shoots and communicating with stakeholders.

If you are looking to have an informal discussion about the vacancy ahead of applying, please email [email protected].

The closing date for this application is Sunday 25 February 2024.
