About The Role
Falmouth Exeter Plus is the service delivery partner of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter. We deliver shared services and facilities for both partners in Cornwall underpinned by close collaboration with Students Union, the combined students' union for Falmouth and University of Exeter, to ensure that the interests of students and staff are at the heart of everything we do. Both institutions are expanding their teaching and research operations in Cornwall at a pace. It is, therefore, a fast-moving environment where agility and a positive approach to change and enhancement are critical, our purpose or mission is 'to deliver world-class shared professional services to help its university partners to achieve their global ambitions.
 
We are now looking to recruit a Senior Client Project Manager to work within our Estates team to provide effective planning, project management and professional services provision to help FX Plus deliver projects which provide quality higher education facilities. This post will be the professional lead for FX Plus major capital projects providing advisory and management services for their delivery including; 
  • Appointment of professional project and design teams
  • Procurement and contract strategy
  • Selection of contractors
  • Managing large and complex stakeholder groups (both internal and external) 

It's an exciting time as we grow the department as our university partners continue to move ahead with our ambitious growth plans. You will have the support of a highly skilled estates team and have the autonomy to develop projects to ensure the right outcomes are achieved.
About You
Reporting into a Programme Manager the successful candidate will be an astute professional able to take the lead on major capital projects, providing advisory management services for the delivery of large projects and be at the forefront in managing a range of stakeholder groups. It's a varied role which will require the successful candidate to show a real depth of management ability, both in handling complex projects and in the management of internal teams.
 
The ideal candidate would have the following experience: 
  • High-level experience of working in a senior estates role
  • Track record of leading complex organisational change
  • Experience of working with key stakeholders
  • Managing significant budgets
  • Experience of leading multiple professional teams
  • Business case development for capital projects
  • Understanding of risk management systems

This senior post is offered on a 37.5 hour a week, full time, permanent contract working across Monday-Friday.
