We are seeking a Security Manager to lead the management and development of the Security Service. The friendly team is vital in keeping students, staff, visitors and our buildings safe and providing a welcoming and supportive environment. There is always something new happening at the University, and the role is never dull.

Experienced in security management at a senior level within a relevant, complex organisation you will demonstrate the ability to work both at strategic and operational levels using your knowledge of current security related legislation and practice. You will provide intelligence–led information on risks and threats to aid decision-making.
Essential skills include leadership and teambuilding and as you will be working with colleagues across the University you will have effective communication and interpersonal skills. A good understanding of issues facing security in higher education will be expected.
A relevant professional qualification or knowledge gained via substantial vocational experience in security leadership is essential. Specialist knowledge of a range of security systems such as CCTV, communication, intruder alarms along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft word/excel/PowerPoint/outlook and databases.
