Background

The Student Systems team is part of Information Technology. The team provides support for SEAtS and other student records systems such as SITS/ e:Vision. The successful candidate will join at an exciting time of change; will work as part of a great team; will have an opportunity to make a positive contribution to City and the student experience; and to learn new tools whilst gaining valuable experience of this rewarding sector.

Responsibilities

You will assume full responsibility for the management and troubleshooting of the SEAts attendance monitoring system. This will require management of SEAtS device configuration items and inventory and troubleshooting and replacing faulty devices.

You will create and maintain documentation of the existing configuration of the SEAtS system and business process workflows within the system; ensuring these workflows are continuously updated and aligned with the evolving needs of the University.

You will act as the primary relationship manager for business stakeholders. This will demand strong communications and relationship management as well as effective stakeholder and supplier management skills.

Person Specification

You will have experience of leading workstreams. You will have great resource management and delegation skills and be a strong communicator demonstrating an ability to influence stakeholders.

You will have experience of working in Higher Education and extensive knowledge of of working with and supporting SEAtS and their hardware. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and also be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
