The Role

In this role you will be responsible for showcasing our academics’ research and supporting the university’s REF submission, through management of the institutional research repository and Open Access advocacy. You will develop expertise in repository systems and metadata, and oversee the creation of records through your own work and through delegation to other members of LLS staff. You will champion Open Access and Open Research, keep up-to-date with funder and national policy changes, and effectively communicate essential information to staff and students.


The Person

The successful candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrable knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, scholarly communication matters, including Open Access and Open Research. They will be both an excellent team worker and have the ability to work independently and act on their own initiative. They will need to have both a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage a large and varied workload under time pressure. Technical expertise with repository systems, and experience of working with metadata, would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Further information

This is a full time, fixed term position for 12 months with a starting salary of £37,646 per annum.
