An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bath Spa University as our Risk and Assurance Manager. 

About the Role

In this newly created role, you will lead and deliver our institutional approach to risk management, ensure the operation of an effective assurance framework, and monitor the University’s compliance with regulatory requirements. As our primary expert and key point of contact for all matters relating to risk management and OfS compliance, you will work with stakeholders across the University and in close partnership with members of the executive team, driving forward an approach to risk management which supports our strategic ambitions and the continuous optimisation of institutional performance. 

About You 

For this varied and important role, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience of successfully leading the management and delivery of strategic risk management. You will possess good awareness of the external environment in which higher education providers operate and bring experience of monitoring organisational compliance and managing responses to evolving external and regulatory requirements. A detailed knowledge of the Office for Students regulatory framework and approach would be a distinct advantage. Reporting directly to the University Secretary, you will have the proven ability to work effectively on your own initiative and with a high degree of autonomy within a friendly and mutually supportive environment.
