We are seeking to appoint a research fellow to the NK cell team within The School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences at the University of Southampton. This exciting project will investigate natural killer (NK) cell activation against blood cancers and is expected to identify novel therapeutic strategies to improve the outcome for patients. The development of approaches that augment NK-cell activation against cancer is currently under intense research and NK cell-based therapeutics are demonstrating promising efficacy and safety in clinical trials.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and educated in a relevant subject area. Practical laboratory experience of immunology, CRISPR-Cas9 editing, and in vivo methodology would be advantageous.

You will be part of a team of research technicians, PhD students, postdoctoral research fellows and clinical research fellows focused on NK cell research.

Applications will be considered from candidates who are nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon completion of PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
