The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Research Fellow.

We seek a passionate and dedicated research fellow to join our team and tackle the essential medicine global supply shortages (funded by Medical Research Council).

You are expected to be an active member of the research project/team, assisting in the planning and delivering the research activities around analytical method development and in vitro/in vivo pharmacokinetics of liposomal antifungal nanomedicines.

Within the research network, you will also be involved in activities on animal disease validations and regulation compliance by leading experts from the University of Liverpool, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and DNDi.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Have or be about to obtain* a relevant PhD in the areas of nanomedicine, liposomal formulations and PK/PD.

(*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment).

  • Relevant liposome research experience of pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of nanomedicines following systemic administration.
  • Experience of development analytical methods for biological samples, e.g. LC-MS.

This post is available on a fixed term contract for 12 months, or available until 31 May 2025, whichever is sooner. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding
