An exciting opportunity is available for a researcher to join the behavioural science group within the Primary Care Research Centre to carry out a qualitative study to explore couples’ experiences of low back pain.

The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of the study, including conducting interviews with people with low back pain and their partners, qualitative data analysis, and a scoping review of the literature on couples-focused interviews for chronic conditions. The candidate will also apply the Person-Based Approach (https://www.personbasedapproach.org ) to develop an intervention plan for a couples-focused intervention for low back pain.

Applicants will have a PhD in health or social research or related discipline, or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in relevant discipline (e.g. psychology), and experience of qualitative research and systematic or scoping review methodology.
