Job Description
The IWHP program has won a large grant to complete a seven-year follow-up of 1200 women to investigate critical changes that have happened since the baseline study. This seven-year longitudinal follow-up will conclude soon. We expect to find critical relationships between body composition and women’s health. We aim to address a wide range of topics critical to the well-being of midlife women. This includes menopausal health and incident osteoporosis, depression/anxiety, sleep, hypertension, diabetes, urinary incontinence and sexual health issues. New cardiovascular disease indicators such as carotid intimal thickness, cognitive, memory and executive function would also be investigated. Our IWHP team will explore novel methods of quantifying muscle mass and study its association with muscle strength, physical performance, frailty, falls, and other clinically important outcomes.
The Research Fellow will assist the PI and his graduate students to conduct, analyze and publish the results of this longitudinal 7-year follow- up.
