Research Fellow in Sustainable Finance and Biodiversity

The School of Biological Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Research Fellow.

The postholder will be a highly productive, ambitious and collaborative member of the research project/team for the “ BIOFIN (unlocking finance to restore biodiversity) project, assisting in the planning and delivery of the research activity, specifically in the areas of sustainable finance and biodiversity. The post is a critical role, and as such, successful applicants will have responsibilities in independent research, planning, collaborations, and outreach.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

1. Have or be about to obtain* a relevant PhD.

(*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment)

2. Relevant research experience in the area of environmental or agricultural economics with a clear focus on agri-environmental and conservation policy.

3. A proven track record of analyses, critical evaluations, and interpretations of data relevant to the research project.

This post is available on a part time fixed term contract for 31 months, or available until 31 December 2026, whichever is sooner. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
