This is an exciting opportunity in a busy team within the department of Student Records and Curriculum Management. The Research Degrees Adviser role is an interesting one, has a wide range of responsibilities and interacts with academic and professional services staff across the University, and with students.

You will be responsible for the management of information relating to all aspects of the student journey from admissions to enrolment and on-programme support.

As Research Degrees Adviser you will be:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support for students from enrolment through to final award

  • Using the University’s student records system to maintain curriculum and student information

  • Responsible for providing administrative support, to a number of key operational processes which include supporting the examination sub- committee, which reports to the Research Degrees Committee.

You should have:

  • A degree or relevant experience

  • Experience in curriculum and student administration and the use of administrative computer systems

  • Experience of delivering guidance and support, and training

  • The ability to work without close supervision

  • Substantial experience in appropriate administrative work, at a comparable level ideally within the Research Degrees provision.

The team has a hybrid working arrangement with a mixture of on campus and home working.

This role will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Skilled Worker visa under the points-based immigration system, however applications are welcome from candidates who don’t currently have the right to work in the UK, but who would be eligible to obtain a visa via another route.
