We are recruiting a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to work on trustworthy human-robot teaming. The role is available as soon as 26th February 2023, and we offer an open-ended contract with fixed funding until 31/01/2026.

The Research Associate or Senior Research Associate will be a key team member in the EPSRC-funded project “Satisficing Trust in Human-Robot Teams” (HuRST), and have relevant expertise in robotics.

Human-robot teams have the potential to make a transformative impact in areas such as emergency services work (e.g. firefighting or policing) but first, the conditions for trust between team members needs to be better understood.

  • The post holder will design, implement, collect data from, and analyse the results of, human-robot teaming experiments.
  • They will develop, where needed, robot hardware and software needed for the experiments, and write up results for publication in respected conferences and journals, as a member of the HuRST team.
