This project is on advancing signal processing techniques for 6G networks and beyond. This is a collaborative research project (TITAN extension) with several UK academic partners. This project is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council

Job Description

Job Grade: Specialist and Supporting Academic Grade 6

Job Purpose

To conduct research in the areas of wireless communications within the Institute for Digital Technologies.  The focus will be on the development of signal processing algorithms and/or machine learning methods for terrestrial and non-terrestrial 6G networks.  In particular, the Research Associate will be expected to perform research and develop algorithms which may span various topics such as mathematical optimizations, machine learning, statistical performance analyses and Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OFTS) modulations.  The Research Associate will collaborate with several project partners including University of Southampton and University of Cambridge, among other potential academic and industrial partners.

Conditions of Service

The position is full-time and fixed term (until 31/03/2025). The salary will be Specialist and Supporting Academic Grade 6, 33,348 to 43,155 per annum plus London Weighting £3,518 per annum, with a starting salary to be confirmed on the offer of appointment.
