We are currently seeking a Research Associate/Fellow to work on a project involving the development and extensive characterisation of a new formulations for inhalation delivery of pharmacological actives with challenging properties. The technology will be based on spray-drying process and will, in addition, explore new formulation excipients. The project is supported by industrial partners with expertise in relevant technology and the application of pharmaceutical excipients. The project hence offers a candidate an experience in working in academia in collaborations with industry.

Candidates must have a PhD awarded or close to completion in pharmaceutics/drug formulation. Expertise in cell culture techniques, particularly cytotoxicity and drug permeability are also essential as well as a track record or published research in peer-reviewed journals and writing high quality papers for publication.

This full-time post (36.25 hours a week) is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months or to 31st March 2025, whichever is shorter. Arrangements for job share may be considered. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
