Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Assistant with experience in antibody engineering as part of a BBSRC Prosperity Partnership researching next-generation antibody-drug conjugates. You will work closely with GlaxoSmithKline and engage with the wider UK academic landscape.

Term: Fixed Term (12 months)

Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Science seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Assistant with experience in antibody engineering and analysis in an interdisciplinary team of chemists, biologists, and formulation scientists as part of a BBSRC Prosperity Partnership award researching the development of next-generation antibody-drug conjugates. You will possess a science-based education to PhD level (or significant relevant experience) with related degree in the Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Chemistry or equivalent relevant qualification. You will have considerable science-based technical experienceto support a range of laboratory procedures including the bioproduction and conjugation of antibodies, cell culture and the use of analytical equipment to study conjugate biophysical properties. Working as a team member, you will be highly organised with a positive approach to working in a dynamic research environment. You will work closely with industry collaborators from GlaxoSmithKline and engage with the wider UK academic landscape and industrial partners.

This post is of 12 months duration in the first instance, and the post will be renewed for up to five years in total.
