Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant in the Law and Criminology Department.

A pilot project has been funded for a research assistant to undertake a comparative literature review on racial and ethnic disparities in maternal health and care in the UK, Germany, Spain, and Finland. We have funding for 67 hours at £17.87 per hour over four months 15.3.2024-14.7.2024. You will be joining an inter-disciplinary team with researchers from Social Work, Sociology and Health Sciences.

We are looking for a researcher who has completed their MA/MSc and is currently working on their PhD or has completed their PhD with an interest in health and social care inequalities, racial and ethnic inequalities. You will need to show evidence of your ability to complete a literature review and be competent or show enthusiasm to learn with software such as Covidence which is used to manage literature reviews. Experience in publishing in a peer-reviewed journal is an advantage but not essential. The post holder will also be required to network with maternal health organisations in the research countries and contribute to the organisation of a networking event in the summer.
