Applications are invited for an appointment as Research Assistant Professor (RAP) in the Department of Earth Sciences of The University of Hong Kong (Ref.: 524558), to commence in March 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter for three years, with a possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding. The appointee will conduct research on Planetary Geology and its comparison with the evolution of early Earth.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Geology. Those with research experience and publication records in petrology, geochemistry, geochronology and structural geology, especially on evolution of orogenic belts and plate tectonics would be desirable.  Applicants should also be highly motivated and have a systematic approach to work on geology and a good command of written and spoken English.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to Professor Z.H.
