The opportunity
UAL’s newly established Centre and Institute Operations Service seeks to recruit an experienced and proactive administrator to join the team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be specifically assigned to support Crative Research into Sound Arts Practice research centre (CRiSAP) based at London College of Communication (LCC), working with the Centre Manager, Director, and other colleagues to deliver its diverse portfolio of activities.
CRiSAP is a research centre dedicated to the exploration of the rich complexities of sound as an artistic practice. Their main aim is to extend the development of the emerging disciplinary field of sound arts and to encourage the broadening and deepening of the discursive context in which sound arts is practiced.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent planning and organisation skills. You will be reliable and pride yourself on delivering high quality work, on time with excellent attention to detail.
You will be motivated, hardworking and diligent, able to work independently across multiple long-form projects using your initiative and creative problem solving skills, prioritising tasks when needed to deliver on time.
Excellent verbal and written skills are paramount, alongside the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
You will have experience of working in an administrative or production role with communications and events experience, preferably within the creative industries or creative research.
A knowledge and understanding of sound arts, practice-based research or another creative subject area is desirable.
