Regional Manager (Americas & Europe)

Updated: 3 months ago
Location: Dundee, SCOTLAND
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 12 Feb 2024

Abertay is a modern university with a global outlook, rooted in its local and national communities. We have made our mark with high quality, well-directed teaching and research, and a stimulating and enriching experience for our students, recognised by our status as Sunday Times UK University of the Year 2021 for teaching quality and Scottish University of the Year for social inclusion.

The External and Corporate Relations team leads the University in both our external engagement agenda and internal corporate relationships and communications. The team is focussed on enhancing both the University’s reputation and revenue, and encompasses five focussed functions: Marketing and Communications, International Recruitment and Partnerships, UK Recruitment; Admissions; and Events.

The University now seeks to appoint a Regional Manager to support the development of strategies to develop key international recruitment partnerships and grow international enrolments to all University programmes and enhance the University’s diversity and global reputation.

Reporting to the Head of International Recruitment and supported by an International Officer and US Loan Funding Officer, you will lead the development and implementation of region and channel-focused recruitment and partnership strategies, aligned with wider University objectives and targets, initially in the Americas & Europe. Work in other markets may also be required according to business need. You will lead on developing key strategic partnerships that attract qualified international students to our campus and establish and enhance priority relationships with external suppliers of international applicants including schools, colleges, and our overseas representatives, both in-market and remotely.

The role requires a decisive and proactive individual, promoting the world class student experience on offer to students in Scotland at Abertay. You will be a senior member of a small and committed team, empowered to think creatively to communicate the University’s value proposition in overseas markets. You’ll enjoy a varied and competing workload, a flexible working environment, and a team committed to investing in you, your ambitions, and career development.

Enquiries ahead of application are welcome, and should be made to Doug Watters, Head of International Recruitment, [email protected]

Please note that we will only accept applications through our online recruitment system.
