The Department of Education looking to appoint an experienced customer service focused person in a joint Operations Assistant/Receptionist role. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day running of the department’s Operations and Enquiries Office as well managing the reception desk and providing administrative support.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written with ability to liaise daily with a variety of stakeholders. The post holder is expected to be self-motivated with ability to work with initiative and flexibility, knowing when to refer matters to others. The ability to work independently and well under pressure, prioritise workload and give attention to detail is essential to this role.
Experience of working within a Higher Education institution or within a service industry environment, as well as experience in organising events and providing customer service is desirable.
The post holder will be based at the Department of Education, 15 Norham Gardens, Oxford.
