Applications are invited for a permanent position as Reception Assistant in the Department of Medicine, based in the Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre, a state-of-the-art research facility, housing the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (CSCI), Department of Medicine, Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease (CITIID), and the Milner Therapeutics Institute.

The post-holder will form a key part of the Building Services Team, working to provide timely, accurate and professional reception and administrative support to groups and visitors to the building. Within this role the successful candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, welcome and receive visitors, monitor access to the building issuing security cards and report any incidents related to breach of security, file documents and update records, manage room booking requests. The ideal candidate will have to demonstrate strong communication skills as well as the ability to prioritise own workload and meet tight deadlines. The role-holder will be a competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with prior experience working in an office environment.
