Purchase Ledger Administrator

Trinity College is seeking to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger Administrator to join the Bursary team.

Trinity College, founded in 1546 by Henry VIII, is one of the largest Colleges in the University of Cambridge, with some 720 undergraduates, 350 graduate students, 190 Fellows and around 350 non-academic staff. The role holder is responsible for co-ordinating the Purchase Ledger function on a day-to-day basis, managing and triaging the high volume email box, ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner and queries are resolved efficiently and appropriately.  Bank reconciliation, cash handling, processing expenses and working with auditors are also included together with leading the on-going developments for the Purchase Ledger section, working with system consultants and internal staff to constantly improve the processes.

Candidates must be experienced Purchase Ledger Administrators, ideally working with NetSuite but, otherwise, other finance accounts software. Intermediate knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, bank reconciliation and purchase ledger journals are essential. The role holder must have meticulous attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal with a variety of queries from suppliers and internal ‘customers’, excellent planning and organisational skills and flexibility to respond to daily priority changes.  The successful candidate will be a positive relationship builder and team player, capable of working with a variety of stakeholders with discretion and determination. AAT level 2 minimum is required.

Rate of Pay: in the range of £30,000 – £32,500 per annum plus excellent benefits.
