Education and Academic Services – Wellbeing Services
This new post is available immediately on a fixed-term maternity cover basis until January 2025. The post is full-time, term-time (32 weeks), with 6 additional weeks to be worked during University holidays (2 during Easter break and 4 within summer break), for total hours of 0.86 FTE.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
Please note that a Post-grad Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions is an essential requirement for this role.
Summary of the role
We are currently seeking to recruit a flexible and adaptable part-time Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our highly skilled and committed team on a permanent basis.
We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic staff who can contribute to our vision for Wellbeing Services and provide a range of low intensity interventions for our diverse student community. We are seeking a qualified and IAPT-experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner who would be interested in developing services and providing bespoke provision for students. You will be a skilled practitioner who has a thoughtful and adaptable approach to your work, as well as a real interest in managing complex difficulties and sensitively supporting students. You will also be committed to the advancement of stepped care services in a multi- disciplinary team of staff. A DBS check will need to be completed.
Health and wellbeing are crucial ingredients of effective study and play a key role in helping students enjoy a rich and fulfilling student experience. Our Wellbeing Centre provides a base where we aim to help students with emotional and mental health difficulties succeed in their studies and make the most of the opportunities offered by a new and diverse learning environment.
