The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager to work on the exciting £2.5 million national evaluation of the new NHS Pharmacy First programme in England. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced, multi-disciplinary team from LSHTM, University of Oxford, University of Manchester, UK Health Security Agency and the University of Nottingham. The team is jointly led by Professor Nicholas Mays and Dr Rebecca Glover of LSHTM.

The Project Manager will be a proactive, strategic and personable individual who can demonstrate experience of managing a complex research project with multiple collaborators. Ideally, the candidate will have experience of line management, supporting research ethics applications and experience of, or interest in, supporting and/or organising patient and public involvement in research and a robust communications strategy.

The post is part-time 21 hours per week, 0.6 FTE and fixed term until 31 January 2027.

The post is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research and is available immediately.

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £43,947 - £49,908 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
