About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the McShane Group in the Department of Paediatrics as our Project Manager.
You will play an important role in the contribution towards developing new candidate vaccines for tuberculosis (TB) and human challenge models for both TB and SARS-CoV-2.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of clinical research and provide effective support through great communication and organisational skills.
You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology.
This position is offered full-time on a maternity cover contract for 16 months. Secondments will also be considered.
About you
You will have a degree in a relevant health-related subject, or equivalent experience in clinical trial delivery, supplemented by relevant post-qualification experience in a Project Management role, with proven and demonstrable grant management skills. You will possess good attention to detail with the ability to work under minimal supervision. You will have highly effective verbal and written communication skills with all level of staff and an ability to operate effectively in a demanding and stimulating research environment.
