Project and Administration Assistant

About the role

We are looking to appoint a highly organised, motivated individual to support the Earth Observation Science Group (EOS) based at Space Park Leicester. You will provide an efficient, confidential and proactive administrative support service to the EOS Group. This support will encompass the group’s administration including support for research activities, project financial monitoring and communication with the central university administration. As the first point of contact for a variety of communications, you will confidently represent the group with exceptional professionalism.
Able to work independently, you will deliver excellent administrative support, often in the face of competing demands and tight deadlines. You will be proactive in using your own initiative and judgement to resolve issues, be able to determine priorities and to ensure that they are represented professionally at all times.


About you
Educated to A level or equivalent, or with significant relevant work experience in a comparable setting, you should be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, enquiry management and travel arrangement. Experience in supporting multi-functional teams and the ability to work under pressure will also be key.
You will be experienced at working flexibly and autonomously, with the ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with senior staff and colleagues. Effective communication skills will be required, both written and verbal, to ensure easy communication with staff and students at all levels.
