This is a full time position, until 31st March 2025.

In partnership with the three universities in Greater Manchester (Manchester Metropolitan, Manchester and Salford), Lancaster University has been successful in securing funding from Innovate UK to deliver the Centre for Digital Innovation project, for the benefit of businesses located primarily in Greater Manchester. With a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Cyber, Immersive Technologies and Industrial Digitalisation, we are keen to recruit an experienced Project Administrator (1.0FTE) with knowledge of one or more of these technological disciplines to join the Lancaster team to support the delivery of technical, bespoke, research and development projects in collaboration with companies.

You will be an experienced administrator, with a background in providing support to large multi-partner, externally-funded business support initiatives, working in teams to deliver high-quality collaborative research and development projects for businesses. You will be comfortable working to achieve targets as set by funding bodies, often in constrained timescales. You will have existing experience of using a range of software tools for the administration and management of project activity, both for internal monitoring at Lancaster and for external reporting to businesses, other partners and the funding body. You will be an excellent communicator and team player with evidence of good organisational skills. Experience of working within the framework of publicly funded initiatives to support business collaborations with universities would be a distinct advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-standing team at Lancaster, and to collaborate within a wider partnership in the region, to deliver a significant business engagement programme for companies. The post is funded by Innovate UK / UKRI, and offered as an indefinite contract, however, remains contingent on external funding, which for the Centre for Digital Innovation, will complete on 31 March 2025.

Informal enquiries regarding this role may be directed to Dr Rebecca Robinson ([email protected] ) or Professor Allan Rennie ([email protected] ).

We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
