Hult Ashridge Qualifications & Apprenticeships is a globally recognised triple accredited executive business school.  We have been supporting the learning and development of leaders for over 65 years.  In 2018 we started delivering apprenticeships. Our portfolio of apprenticeships has grown and continues to grow with the delivery of Level 4 to 7 Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.

Purpose

Working to support Apprentice Support Managers & faculty we are now looking to recruit experienced Apprenticeship Progress Assessors (Skills Coaches) on a contract basis to work with individual apprentices and employers to embed their learning and develop the skills-based knowledge to successfully complete their apprenticeships.

You will support the high quality learning and teaching delivered by our faculty to ensure that skills and behaviours as required for each of our Apprenticeship Programmes.  You will work with the Apprentice Support Team to ensure that all individual Apprentice/learner learning, assessments, reviews and completions are achieved in a timely manner. You will support all elements of the Apprentice/learner journey, including preparation for Gateway in conjunction with Apprentice Support  and faculty

Core tasks and responsibilities

  • Complete 1-2-1 learner reviews and tripartite meetings with learners and line managers to seek and obtain evidence of applied learning and learning outcomes as described by the relevant awarding body/EPAO. You will give feedback as appropriate.  We envisage these meetings will take place virtually
  • Coach and mentor Apprentices/learners to develop positive attitudes towards learning and studying
  • You will work with apprentices to set targets and review those targets on a regular basis.
  • Track and report progress of planned learning, maintaining records throughout the Apprentice/learner journey ensuring full compliance with Ofsted, ESFA and other regulatory bodies
  • Ensure that Apprentice/learner records are accurately maintained, including records held within SIS systems, e-portfolio and online learning systems
  • Work with Apprentice Support Managers to support in identifying situations requiring periods of absence from the programme or potential issues or risks and submit accurate reports as required and in a timely manner
  • Provide constructive, professional and relevant feedback to Apprentices/learners in relation to their qualification and/or Apprenticeship Standard
  • Input to initial assessment and induction processes to ensure Apprentices/learners starting points are accurately recorded and their programme of learning reflects this information
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to, and arrange meetings (remotely) with Apprentices/learners to develop workplace knowledge, skills and behaviours as part of the Apprenticeship in order to progress and complete Apprentices/learners in a timely manner.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Apprentices/learners, business partners and all other stakeholders.
  • Ensure strong knowledge, skills and behaviours are acquired to enable high levels of success for Apprentices at end point assessment
  • Quality assure the work of other Assessors where qualified, directed to do so and in a timely manner
  • Identify, complete and record appropriate annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities that maintain your ability to support the delivery of programmes and Apprenticeships
  • Cover for other Assessors where required and as directed to

Experience and skills

  • Experience of Apprenticeships essential
  • Experience of further & higher education sector preferred
  • Educated to degree level or relevant business qualification
  • Experience with E-Portfolio and Learning Management Systems is desirable but not essential and full training will be given
  • A confident user of Microsoft Office software, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptionally well organized, able to plan ahead and balance long-term planning with short term targets
