About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Programme Administrator within the Leicester Medical School to provide support to the Phase 2 of the MB ChB medical degree as students undertake clinical placements in hospitals, GP Academies and the community. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Medical School at a time when student numbers are predicted to increase for future intake years following the recent release of the NHS’s Long Term Workforce Plan which outlines clear plans to deliver the biggest increase in training numbers in the NHS’s history to address current workforce gaps and to meet the challenges of an increasing and ageing population.
The role provides substantial administrative support for the years 3 to 5 of the MB ChB programme with emphasis on supporting year 5 students. There is also the requirement to handle general enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders and to provide information about the MBChB programme. The role also involves a complete range of office duties to support the team and the Business Administration Managers.
