About the Role

We are now seeking to appoint a Professor of Architecture. Candidates from all architecture-related research fields will be considered; those with research experience in cultural heritage and building conservation are particularly welcome. You are expected to help nurture new and existing research talent within the School whilst further developing your own individual research profile. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and demonstrate your research leadership. You should have an international reputation with a successful track record of world-leading and internationally excellent research outputs, income generation and capacity building.

For more details, please take a look at the role profile.  We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.

Architecture

Our existing architecture research focuses on the investigation of human aspects of architecture, spatial practices, urban heritage, material culture and the built environment. We have a well-equipped research infrastructure, including a state-of-the-art heritage CAVE facility. 86% of our research was rated as ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ during REF2021.
