Job description

Reporting to the Provost, Professor Tara Dean, the Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic Transformation) will be a member of the University’s Management Board and, as such, will play an important role in the management of the University. They will hold a central role in reviewing our teaching and research portfolio and structure, ensuring that we have the right institutional structure and that our approach and resources across the institution and wider Group are co-ordinated; they will also have an important role in helping us to develop our new corporate strategy, which is due to be in place from Autumn 2025.

We are looking to appoint an inspiring individual who not only understands and nurtures our heritage and what makes us unique, but who can work with the University and wider Group community to celebrate and build on our strengths and achievements, with a call to action from the appointee to work as a change agent to support us in forging, and take leadership in driving delivery of, an ambitious path forward.

The successful candidate will be a champion and advocate for the positive contribution the University make as a civic university, and equally, they will share our values and have the ability to engender a diverse, inclusive and respectful University environment and influence and maintain positive relationships with all of our key stakeholders.
