The Hamilton Kerr Institute (HKI) is one of the world's leading centres for teaching and research in conservation and heritage science.
We are transforming our research and impact environment to more effectively support a range of projects and activities that have participatory approaches at the core of their work. To help us achieve this ambition, we are seeking a Practitioner Research Associate: Collections and Wellbeing (Young Adults) who will be part of a dedicated team of practitioner researchers exploring the potential of the University collections to support knowledge exchange, generate societal, cultural and policy impact.
Collaborating with colleagues from across the Museum, the University and with external organisations and communities, the role holder will undertake their own - and facilitate other's - practice-based research that involves young adults (aged 16-25) and other practitioners as co-researchers.

Cambridge is a beautiful city on the River Cam in eastern England, home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, dating back to 1209. The Fitzwilliam Museum is one of eight museums which work in partnership with Cambridge University Botanic Garden and the University Library as the University of Cambridge Museums consortium, with internationally 'Designated' collections spanning archaeology and anthropology, polar exploration, the history of science and zoology and fine art.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance or until 31st July, whichever is sooner.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check and a security check.
