We are recruiting academically based Practice Educators to support our students, employers and work-based practice educators as part of our growth and development and the enhancement of our placements offer.

You will be an experienced social worker, registered with Social Work England, and an experienced Practice Educator with Stage 2 Practice Educator Award. You will also undertake the role of Skill Coach for Apprentice Social Work students undertaking the Apprenticeship Degree and may work across our range of offers in social care and developing areas.

This is an exciting time to join the Institute of Community and Society at the University of Wolverhampton. You will be part of a diverse, dynamic team working across the areas of social work, social care, work with communities and third sector organisations. We are developing our provision and will be growing our work with employers to enhance student’s placement and work experience, ensuring a range of opportunities.  We are an expanding and developing team and if you are an innovative, hard-working individual, committed to inclusive practice, we'd would love to hear from you.

The University of Wolverhampton celebrates diversity and recognises that difference brings value to our organisation.

As part of our commitment to ensure the diversity of staff body reflects the diversity of the student and local communities we serve, we particularly welcome applications from candidates of Black, Asian, or Ethnic Minority heritage, and candidates who are Disabled (including people who whilst not self-defining as disabled do encounter challenges due to a society that disables them by lack of inclusivity).

We are proud to have been awarded Disability Confident employer status, included in the Stonewall list of employers and are working towards improving our practices against Athena Swan and the Race Equality Charter. We believe in creating an even playing field for all our colleagues, where we can all belong.
