Full time starting salary is £30,487 to £31,396 per annum, with potential progression when in post to £36,024 per annum. 
Internal candidates already within the salary banding will remain on their current spinal point as per policy.

The role

The Open University is recruiting for a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to develop and co-ordinate practice-based learning activities to facilitate the delivery of the school’s professional programmes. You will support the relevant professional programme, staff tutors and faculty coordinators in supporting student practice and placement systems in line with the requirements of their professional body.

The postholder will ensure that efficient systems, processes and procedures are in place to develop and support practice-based learning experiences for students. Working with colleagues from across the University, you will be responsible for administrative processes, data entry, validation and maintenance related to the practice-based learning experience of students.

Skills and experience

  • Excellent information and communication technology skills, including the ability to use Microsoft applications including Word, Excel & Outlook, and experience of using databases, spreadsheets, and templates.
  • Experience of planning, organising, prioritising and scheduling tasks to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines, paying attention to detail and managing records effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the communication skills needed to support effective liaison with academic, administrative colleagues, students, and partner provider organisations.
