We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the group of Prof Tao Dong based in the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Oxford Institute (COI).

You will be primarily responsible for the development and design of spatial multiomics experiments in the project. The study will focus on investigating tissue resident T cells in lung/ breast cancer using spatial multi-omic platforms. This research could deepen our comprehension of mechanisms through which tissue resident T cells.

You will be responsible for optimising and developing spatial multi-Omics protocols for 10X Visium and 10X Xenium platforms. You will be characterising tissue resident immune cells including T cells/TCR reportories in lung/breast cancer using spatial multi-Omics analysis. You will be tasked with adapting and developing new and existing scientific techniques and experimental protocols. You will also be responsible for managing your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines

It is essential that you hold a relevant PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) in immunology or a related field. You will have experience with single cell or bulk RNASeq experiments and experience of working with tissue resident immune cells. You will have evidence ofexperience in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Immunofloresence (IF) staining, including preparing fresh frozen samples and FFPE samples for IHC/IF staining. Finally you will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
