POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW IN HEAT PUMP TECHNOLOGY

This is a very exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) project: Flexible Air Source Heat pump for domestic heating decarbonisation (FASHION), which is in collaboration with the Universities of Glasgow and Birmingham.

We are seeking one researcher to join the project on a full-time basis to lead and work on the Liverpool elements of the project. This will involve the design, construction, and test of heat pump prototypes, and, working very closely as part of an integrated team with other academics and researchers, assisting in the supervision of PhD students at Liverpool.

You will be expected to have expertise, experience, and a track record in vapour compression refrigeration or heat pump systems.

You will have a PhD (awarded) in thermal energy engineering or similar area required for this project, such as heat transfer, thermodynamics, refrigeration, heat pumps.

This post is fixed term for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
