About the role

The overall goal of the project is to develop new ecological theory, rooted in probability theory, to help understand how gut bacteria interact, engage in bacterial warfare and what drives the stability of microbiome communities, in the presence and absence of pathogens.

About you

In addition to research, the post holder will provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group. The post holder will develop new ecological models, using probability theory and ecological network modelling, to better deal with the context dependence and complexity of microbial communities and bacterial warfare.
