We invite applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the statistical properties of Denoising Diffusion Models (DDMs) project funded by EPSRC and led by Professor George Deligiannidis.

This post is fixed-term until 31 March 2027

The post-holder will work with Prof. George Deligiannidis, a member of the OxCSML group of the Department of Statistics. The work will involve studying the statistical properties of DDMs, and other related generative models, using existing and novel theoretical approaches. It is envisaged that this theoretical exploration will also inform further methodological developments. The post holder provides guidance to junior members of the research group including research assistants and PhD students.

Applicants will have, or to be close to completing a PhD in Machine Learning, Statistics or a closely related discipline with relevant experience with the ability to manage their own academic research. They will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
