The University of Oxford’s High Temperature Materials laboratory in the Department of Materials is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral researcher to work on a Prosperity Partnership Project –known as ARCANE – which is funded by EPSRC and Rolls-Royce plc, focusing on the physical metallurgy of nickel-based superalloys.
The successful candidate will possess experience with the testing of aerospace materials with an emphasis on those for aircraft engines. Ideally, they will have experience of collaborating with industrial sponsors and will be comfortable with the building of significant partnerships with industry. You will have (or be close to completion of) a relevant PhD.
This is a collaborative activity involving the University of Birmingham’s High Temperature Research Centre (HTRC) based at Ansty, Coventry and also the University of Greenwich.
All applications must be made online using the Oxford University E-Recruitment system, no later than 12 noon on Friday 23 February 2024. You will be required to upload a CV and a Supporting Statement as part of your application. Please do not attach any manuscripts, papers, transcripts, mark sheets or certificates as these will not be considered as part of your application.
Interviews are scheduled to take place at the Department of Materials on Wednesday 6 March 2024 and you must be available on this date in person.
