Location: Oxford, ENGLAND
Deadline: 29 Apr 2024

This post is fixed-term until 31 August 2024.

We are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Assistant funded by Wellcome. This postholder will work on the development and application of novel statistical approaches to the study of the genetic architecture of human complex traits, with a focus on modelling statistical interactions between genetic mutations in DNA using Biobank-scale data.

The postholder will work in the group of Simon Myers (University of Oxford), which works broadly on statistical genetics, and genomics, including of variants impacting human phenotypes and their evolution. This is a short-term position following up on recent findings within the group, aiming to characterise the nature of previously identified interactions, identify interactions impacting new phenotypes and their evolutionary history, and progress the findings rapidly towards publication.

We proudly hold a Race Equality Charter Bronze Award and a departmental Athena SWAN Silver Award, which guide our progress towards advancing racial and gender equality. Applicants will be selected for interview purely based on their ability to satisfy the selection criteria as outlined in full in the job description. You will be required to upload a statement setting out how you meet the selection criteria, a curriculum vitae, and the contact details of two referees as part of your online application.
