Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Large-Scale Machine Learning for Brain Computer Interfaces

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Neural Processing Lab (PNPL) at the Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford.  The post is funded by the UK Medical Research Council and is fixed-term for one year from a start date in summer or autumn 2024.

PNPL is looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Researcher in Large-Scale Machine Learning for Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs). The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to develop a series of large-scale machine learning competitions, to help drive progress in  BCIs. This will include taking a leading role in producing benchmark models, developing critical data augmentation methods, and integrating the group’s efforts into a public Python library.

You should possess a machine learning PhD in engineering, computer science, statistics, or closely related field, either completed or “near completed” before starting. You should also hold sufficient specialist knowledge in deep learning to produce high-quality research and advance the group’s research vision.
