Applications are invited for two part time Post-Doctoral Teaching Associate posts in the Department of Psychology, Royal Holloway, University of London, starting 1 August 2024. Candidates are requested to indicate clearly which one of the two posts they are applying for.
The post holders will engage in teaching, supervision, and assessment across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The role is mainly student facing and is ideally suited for people who have recently completed a PhD and who are interested in developing their educational skills within a supportive department. They should be enthusiastic about delivering effective high-quality teaching and supervision of student research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The ideal candidate will have expertise in more applied areas of psychology (e.g., clinical, forensic, health, applied social, developmental, or occupational), although applicants with expertise in other areas will also be considered.
The post holders will work as part of our academic team in a dynamic and supportive environment that is known internationally for its outstanding research and teaching. Please note that it will not be possible for the University to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for successful candidates as the pro-rata salary will not meet the minimum threshold set by UK Visas and Immigration. Successful candidates will therefore need to be eligible to work in the UK or have limited leave to remain in the UK and associated right to work for the duration of their employment with the University, in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
