Turning Passion into Purpose. London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Planning Officer. We are a leading university for professional and technical education with particular strengths in Health, Engineering and the Built Environment, including in higher and degree apprenticeships. LSBU is part of LSBU Group, which include a Further Education College and a Multi-Academy Trust.
This role is based with the Planning Team in the Strategy, Planning and Performance unit. The Planning Team exists as a centre of excellence to support university committees, working groups and the executive with effective data and insight (both internal and external) to ensure data driven decision making and effective performance management, and to co-ordinate key University processes such as Risk Management, the Planning Round, Statutory Return assurance and optimisation of data for external sources such as League Tables.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Excellent report writing and presentational skills with experience of producing summary information in a variety of formats tailored to the audience’s needs (e.g. tables, graphs).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions based upon analysis.
- Demonstrable knowledge of databases and reporting systems and experience of using such software. MS Excel/Alteryx/MS Access expertise.
- Demonstrable knowledge, understanding and experience of manipulating large volumes of data to transform into meaningful information to assist in improving institutional performance.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled analyst and planning professional looking to take the next step in their career and join an innovative Planning Team to support the University achieve its Strategic ambitions through the provision of excellent data and insight.
