The Planning and Performance Department (PPD) provides information, evidence and benchmarking required to support the University Executive Board’s decision making on institution-wide strategy and planning. The team provides key insights, research and advice to enable joined-up academic and business planning, working closely with Academic Schools and across Professional Service Departments.
The Planning and Performance Manager will provide direct support to the Head of Department, to ensure the team continues to provide a high-quality, efficient, and effective service to stakeholders across the University. The post holder will lead on further developing the University’s Business Intelligence offering, ensure a robust programme of data governance and assurance, provide senior oversight of key statutory returns, and manage a range of planning related activities.
We are seeking someone with a proven track record of leading and developing cross-functional teams, with strong analytical and statistical skills, ability to work collaboratively, with a enterprising attitude to continuous improvement. A strategic, systematic and creative approach to problem-solving is essential, as is the ability to influence, motivate and lead individuals without direct line-management responsibility.
