The Bristol Doctoral College (BDC) are seeking a talented and enthusiastic researcher developer to contribute to outstanding support for Bristol’s postgraduate researcher community. This role will be perfect for those who enjoy collaborating with creative, innovative and knowledgeable colleagues to continually enhance the research culture and environment in which our postgraduate researchers engage in. The BDC are a key team within the Division of Research, Enterprise and Innovation at the University.
This role has fixed funding until July 2025.
You lead on the delivery of the University’s Personal and Professional Development (PPD) programme and, using your knowledge and expertise of the researcher development agenda, ensure the strategic direction of the PPD programme continues to meet the diverse needs of its postgraduate researchers. You will also collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to add value to the University’s development offer for our postgraduate researchers.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the postgraduate research environment and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the developmental needs of those pursuing research degrees. Expertise in designing engaging development opportunities through a range of accessible modes of delivery would be an advantage. The ability to liaise and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, both internal and external, is an essential competence.
