NIKRF Research Operations Manager

The Centre for Public Health, School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Research Operations Manager.

The post-holder will be responsible for the administrative functions of NIKRF research being conducted within and outside of CPH. This person will deputise for the CPH PI in matters of administration and operations management when required and will have a clear understanding of the financial and strategic issues involved in the completion of the ongoing projects, and the planning for future NIKRF activity. The post-holder will also provide administrative support to the members of the Renal Research Group.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • A primary degree OR significant (min 5 years) relevant management or leadership experience substantial management, administrative experience in the Higher Education, voluntary or health sectors.
  • Relevant experience of working in a charity environment.
  • Experience of financial planning and budget management to achieve operational and strategic goals.
  • Experience of developing and implementing effective strategic and operational plans.
  • Proven track record of achieving personal and team targets.

This post is available on a fixed term contract until 28 February 2027.  Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
