Maths and English Lecturer in Foundation Studies (SEND)

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Maths and English Lecturer in Foundation Studies (SEND). This role will involve delivering course content

• Overseeing curriculum development
• Providing leadership within a specific subject area
• Classroom management
• Lesson preparation
• Marking assignments and delivering student feedback
• Ensuring the achievement of learning objectives through appropriate assessment methods
• Contribution to the enhancement of learning programmes
• Participating in quality assurance measures
• Engaging in significant research or consultancy activities.

As a Lecturer in Foundation Studies, you will play a crucial role in course verification and leadership, coordinating course teams, and supporting students to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of programmes, including timetabling and supporting the development of specific subject areas. Additionally, the role involves recruiting and selecting students, meeting enrolment targets, and collaborating with colleagues to provide guidance and support within the department.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, a commitment to student success, and the flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of our educational environment. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the college's Strategic Plan and ensure consistent delivery of a positive learning experience.
